Yeah, I heard the same thing. Also, heard Grant McCreary was #1 qualifier with a .4.49... and one of the other outlaw cars went 180 MPH! :eek:

He went a 4.43 Friday night. Ken Rainwater ran the 180 mph pass with a 4.5X. :eek: To put that in perspective Grants 4.44 was 174mph!

Also there was a few 870" mountain motors there as well. That's 435 cubes in four cylinders!!! Bigger then my decent size sb.

Brandon Donimies (sp) huge 800+" HEMI motor was out there as well but he still has some bugs to work out.

Damn, I bet next season - they are in the .20's. They are getting damn near as fast as Pro-Mods!

Ooohhh.. I bet that was a long ride back to DFW for the Wolfe crew! :(

Edit, it was a helluva thrash fest to get that car back together in such short notice!

Stock suspension: John Flores over Chad Baker, JF 427SBF coupe vs CB 408SBC I believe. Baker blew the tires at the hit, Flores went 5.31@138 I believe for the win.
T10.5, Kenjo Kelly lost to Eric Dillord from GA. I think the ET's were something like 4.7x to 4.80 but don't quote me there.
Outlaw consolation Brian Herzog won it
Outlaw main event, Grant M took down Matt Jones and I believe this one was the side by side race of the night.

He had some issues with the camaro. Looked like he got loose and hit the left wall and went over to the right, but while they were towing him back it looked like the passenger side was ok? I didn't see the driver's side either so it could be that the car just got loose. I didn't see him make another pass after that.

I got that pass on video but was focusing on the other car so you don't really see all of what happens to him.

I have to saw the TT5 or LS announcer is the best announcer i've ever heard at any race before...he was great. Chip did a good job with Outlaw as well, but that Dustin guy was great..."Real men do it on 10.5's" "Chevy vs Ford, Nitrous vs Turbo, whose gonna take it!" "Run what ya brung and hope ya brought enough" "Turbo's suck, Blowers blow and Nitrous Rules"...so many great 1 liners :)

On a side note, I can't believe that Lynch didn't show up...I did see Petty though helping with Grant and Dilliard's car however.

If it's the car i'm thinking of (blue'ish Camaro?) he was in the left hand lane and hit the left wall then came into the right lane and almost hit it as well, but was able to get control...didn't appear to hit the left wall all that hard, but I guess looks can be deceiving....this was in 1st round of qualifying.

Gotcha...we were on pit side stands for the first session and 2nd session we went to the shade on the spectator sides towards the end of the bleachers.
