Ok, as usual - It's award time!
Sux2bu (?) - the most parts of a tire to come off in one run!
Racin' Reid - The only car that I've ever seen run a quarter mile on eigth mile track!
Fast408 - The loudest backfire and still run in the 5's :eek:
LX331 (?) - The coolest backfire!
LX331 (?) - The highest wheelie!
8D8STANG - The longest Wheelie!
HEMIROC - the loudest car there (orange blown camaro!)
The redhead in the stands - The loudest, smallest person there!
magnimike - the only car I've seen break and axle AND shoot the lug nut covers off
342H.O. - the most attempts at one pass to find a leak
brunette in the 94-95 Cobra - the most improvement, that I saw, through the course of the day - Good Job!

I'll take the shooting ducks award. Either my converter is going or i'm now making enough power to simply overwhelm it. I was on the rev limiter at 330' in 3rd gear.

I finally ran mine with my new setup. Ran 8.5 @85mph.
After that run I pull back to the lot and its smoking under my hood pop it and nothing but oil on the right side of the motor. I thought it was over I blew something up.Ended up that the oil dip stick came out a little so it sprayed oil everywhere. I was so happy nothing broke.

Just wish I could have made a clean pass on nitrous....lol My goal for the day was a 5.99, just wanted out of the 6's. (Next time for sure!!!!)
I was going to try to ride the first one out but the wheels were going way to high & the car was headed to the left...errrrr, left some nice dimples in the header tubes (Hey.. at least my wife gave me the OK to get the wheelie bars made!!!). AND that last on I dont even want to talk about.. Still kickin myself in the ass for that one!!!! The tree had me all screwed up, it never came down.... When I went to back up I never let off the nitrous button so as soon as I let the trans brake go .... KABOOOOMMM!! Hope all that got hurt were the butterflies.. they were wrapped arount the shaft pretty good. I straightghtened them out when I got home as a temp fix to see what all is hurt but havent been able to fire it yet.

I finally got it down there where I needed it, but it was to late. Had to take the wheelie bars off to get er done, but it went 5.47@131 with a 1.34 60ft
Saw alot of nice cars, congrats to the winners and next time I come out it wont be on a radial........... .2xs here I come and then I will pill it on up and try and get some teens out of it.

Yea the car was a little loud without the mufflers --we took them off yesterday trying to find something that's keeping the car from picking up. Still didn't really help , it's been 5.60's with 2 different engines, pg or turbo 400 ,& several different rear gear ratio's--guess a convertor is next. We had a great time & really enjoyed the race & the cars. I wish it wasn't the first time i'd been in the car & maybe i would have left when the lights came on instead of waiting for the tree itself to turn green or something.

(and actually, that was my first time ever on a track, not just that car. so i basically have/had no idea what i was doing. i even had to rent some sweats because i didn't know i wasn't supposed to wear shorts :o )

That's a slick ass looking car you have, and it will definately come around. Why not have the nitrous on a microswitch that turns on when you release the 'brake?

I just didnt let off the nitrous before I let go of the transbrake after I wento back out of the beams. I was going to mount it on the carb so it only works at full throttle but I wanted control in case it went up to high & I could just let off the nitrous. Needless to say after its back together it is going on the carb to only be activated at full throttle or I will install a window switch that only lets it be activated above 3000 rpm.
Even though the mishaps I had a great time yesterday. Cant wait to get back out & meet more people. Thats the most "At Home" I've felt since I moved to Texas. Guess the track is just where its at!

Talked to James, cars going to him either lather this week or sometime next... I will get a clean pass out of it this year..lol
I really cant believe the difference in the Big Shot plate opposed to the Cheater plate.... The only thing I changed since last year is the plate & feed line (Always had the Pro shot solenoid). The car came out sooooo much harder this time.. (Not that I'm complaining or anything....) Didnt get to fire it back up tonight.. Wife had me making a 7' long baby gate for the kitchen....
