Im building my own bike...

Any of you guys know the procedure to get this thing titled etc???

Its 100% tube frame, chopper/bobber style.

I don't know the ins and outs, BUT I do have some good news, because of the states budget crunch back in 2003 it became easier to get something like that registered.

There used to be a fair amount of red tape, but so few people did something like you want to do that they state eliminated a bunch of crap they made the builder go through to cut their costs.

I don't *think* you even need a builders license anymore if you are just building one bike for yourself. I'm actually pretty sure you don't.

I knew a few people who tried this, but only 1 that actually complete a bike (he did a few bikes, dune buggy, and some 30's hot rod) but I lost contact with him about two years ago.

I hate the tx dot website, on Monday you will want to call down to Austin to someone at the VTR division and get them to point you in the right direction. They'll send you a free information packet with forms and such.
