View Full Version : KODFWStangs and Brackets on Sunday.

The decision has been made. The 2 classes are as follows...
KODFWStangs - anything goes, .400 tree, Door cars only. Must be a member for 4 months prior to race day. If you can't make the call to the next round - you are out and your prior opponent advances in your place. One round of qualifying at about 11:00 AM. Prizes for both cars in the final round.
BRACKETS - I am probably going to catch hell for this one, but there wasn't enough interest for the street class. Must be a member for 4 monts prior to race day. Normal "No E" rules apply. No electronics, No Transbrakes, .500 Tree. If you can't make the call to the next round - your previous opponent will advance in your place. Prizes for both cars in the final round. 1 round of qualifying, top 8 cars advance to the finals. You must dial faster than 10.50 to enter.
Be sure to listen closely for your call back to the lanes, I know it's hard to hear every thing in the pits - so TRY to pay attention so we can get the show done on time!

I know that it allows more people to participate, but there is something inherently wrong about people who are 'racing' hitting the brakes before the traps.

The bars might be done but it never did get aligned and I'm out of town for the houston race tonight and tomorrow night.

I know that it allows more people to participate, but there is something inherently wrong about people who are 'racing' hitting the brakes before the traps.
Instead of brackets, should have ran it ala "Pink's All Out" style. (Yes, I know that show and Rich C. are GAY!) But, that would prevent people from "Sand Bagging". :D

If not mistaken didnt your car break before you could make atleast one pass last year!I guess you would know from all the watching you did last cruise! :p :p :D

No i made 3 passes braking in my tranny on motor and didnt have a tune to run on nitrous yet. Are you making up shit or what. :confused:

Am I understanding the bracket deal right? You run qualifying and the top 8 fastest get to run in the brackets in an 8 car ladder?

Index racing is a thousand times better than bracket racing and would give the slower cars a chance to race
Heads up > bracket.

heck yea on the brackets, well since i don't have a fast car or anything :(. But I'll let my dad know cause I'm sure he will do it.

yeah :confused: thats how i read it as well. seems like there isn't going to be anything for the slow cars. :o

Unfortunately we don't have time to run every car there that will probably enter in the brackets.
We'll have to see how the day shapes up and maybe try to make something happen.

yeah i remember the first one where we ran brackets... a lot of people entered and had fun with it... but i also remember people complaining about how it took all the bracket cars so long and not enough grudge racing...
can't please everybody, what can ya do. :) i think you're doing fine...keep it up brooks.
