I'm no expert rider, but I would suspect the tires are still not broken in and greasy. Rider didn't even wait to get of the parking lot before gettin a little excited with the throttle.

New tires are SLICK, combine that with showroom tire shine crap and a newb and you get a brand new wrecked bike ;)

yep he would have been better off doing a nice big smokey newbie burnout. but that sucks. the shit on the tires is slick anuf as is then they add the shine shit too it. Like riding on ice for a mile or so.

Don't be so sure, LOTS of people do this, many bikes make it to auction with less than 10 miles on them for this very reason.

Why the hell would a dealer who knows better put that shine shit on motorcycle tires other than the obvious to make them look shiney? I dont even ride bikes and know better than that!

Even if they aren't shined up new tires are slick as fuck. I imagine they tell people this, but inexperienced people don't have anything to compare it to and they crash shit.

we, and any other dealers I've been in to don't put tire shine on bike tires. kind of a dumb ass thing to do if someone does do it. even says on the bottle not to use on motorcycle tires.
like others have said, new tires are SLICK. gotta ridden used a couple miles or more before trying shit like that.

Not that same thing, but just as stupid...couple years ago a buddy of mine had just put a new wheel/tire and pads on his race bike out at Oak Hill (I think?) and took off ripping it, promptly overshooting the first turn sending the bike flipping.
He didn't pump up the brakes before leaving his trailer. The guy had been racing over 10yrs at the time give or take.

It didnt sound like he hit it hard but it dont take much with new tires and like mentioned above some dealers put shit on the tires to make them shine on the showroom floor.
