I think it was on Discovery Channel and had a guy with the name Barry in it? Anyone know what it was called? He was bitten by a python that looked like a damn shark wound and then got carried to a African clinic and almost cried like a baby when they poured alcohol on the wound,crazy stuff...

I watched that.... it was pretty funny actually. Usually those guys are really laid back about being bitten by a non-venomous snake. I am sure it hurt like hell, but still. The retics are bred like crazy in captivity. I don't know why he kept talking about how rare they are.

Well, it was a really bad bite.... I cant imagine the hime back to the truck then the ride to the village and so on....

Yeah,I thought he was a trooper.Hiked 2 hours back to a truck,then rode a couple for in a bumpy ass cargo bed.

He was just scared......, I have had python bites when I was a terrarium manager..(not 12 ft ones) but still...yah it hurts, but geez, it ain't gonna kill ya....

I would imagine a nasty secondary infection could set in. That would scare me more than the bite...
