View Full Version : Opinions; Yamaha TTR 250 and TTR 225

Tell me what you know about either one, good or bad.

I'm thinking of buying one of each of these. I've done google searches and can't find much bad about either one.

they are both good bikes. but i would go for the 250f.or my yz125.

I'm buying these used, and they are priced right. I would love to have a 250F, but they aren't as cheap. YZ 125 is a great bike, but I want 4-strokes.

GOOD BIKES, but you will tire of them in a month. no real performance at all. my brother inlaw bought one because he thought it was all he would need, ended up selling it two months later and getting a wr 250.

The TTR250 is an ok trail bike, but that 225 is a real dog. No suspension, weak Brazilian motor, etc. It's a popular choice for the ladies, it seems - at least that's been my observation out on the local trails/riding areas. I believe they both offer e-start, which is a plus - but that's about it.

I have a TTR-230 that I would be willing to part with so I can get a WR-250. I bought it just to trail ride with my kids on their atv's. Only had a couple tanks of fuel ran through it.
