01 or 02 SRT-4 Vs. 94 Cobra.

this is bothering me. a friend keeps telling me that his srt will drag my cobra like no other. and i get angry everytime i he tells me. we kind of raced once at a stoplight, but i wasn't pulling as hard as i could have. ( i didn't want to spill me Tea, and i'm scared shitless of racing on the street.) he had me by about a length.

now, the question, will that srt really take my cobra?

his car is bone stock and i have nothing to boost power. (simple mods. exhaust and ignition components)

SRTs are about the same as 99-04 GTs out of the box and once the turbo spools up, it's gone....

Now if you get the H/C/I mods, no contest.

Anything longer than that, and he is gonna keep pulling. In fact..an SRT was the only solid loss the car I have now ever received....out of vettes, lightnings, all kinds of stangs...

i do. you can find stage 3 SRTs pushing well over 300hp or 50 trimmed ones making over 400hp for under 15k

yeah then when it drags thier ignorent ass up and back down the street it wont matter.

i agree there is no cool factor to them but when i see them killing cars with much bigger motors i am gonna give props to where they are deserved

A 94 cobra with ignition and exhaust mods is going to be an easy kill for plenty of cars out there. I wouldn't even bother trying to run an SRT-4 in that car.

stock srt/4 = 230 hp and around 3000 lbs
stock cobra = 240hp/285tq and around 3500 lbs

100 lbs = ~10 hp and gearing on the srt/4 is much more desirable for street fun.

srt/4 will pull by a few past 100mph easily.

Have drug numerous times an SRT with 02 GT full exhaust,gears,and stickies.I don't know maybe he couldn't drive?
