i have a buddy who was able to make it stop, but he had to take the apple software off and load linux on it. But now it basically functions like a mini laptop. He said it was a pretty complicated task.

can you undo the linux mod or is it permanent? anyone know where i can download the mod or where i can find more information? has anyone personally done it or used the modded ipod themself? what are your oppinions about it

i dj and all i wanna do is be able to make a video playlist (which you CAN do) and be able to have the playlist play w.o stopping after each song... not that complicated to me. dont understand...

you can disbale the linux at any time by just reseting the ipod (menu+select and hold). just type linux for ipod into google (that's how I did it). I don't know what software may have the video playlist built in (mine is just a 20gb black and white), but I assume that there is either a playlist built in, or you can find something on the internet since it's linux after all.

The iPod will simply not play through videos you have it stops after everyone. There is not setting in the iPod to change it. Just a question, you use it to watch videos while driving in the car?

Wrong sir! just found out how to do it! im so excited... google is god! i looked on google for about an hour the other day trying to find an answer to my question before posting it and i finally found one today after changing my search slightly. second link i clicked! lol heres how for all that care:

1. open ITUNES on your computer and highlight (using shift) all the videos in your "Videos" playlist in the far left collum on ITunes under the playlist subtitle.
2. with all the videos highlighted, right click a video in itunes and select "Get Info."
3. a screen will pop up and ask "are you sure you want to edit information on multiple items." select yes.
4. on the bottom right of the screen there should be a drop down menu that says "skip when shuffling" select "no."
5. i personally also found it usefull to turn off the "remember position" option for all my music videos (everything except for long movies since this is very useful sometimes)
Just a question, you use it to watch videos while driving in the car?
yes i do :D

well of course I dont personally watch it while driving since that would be illegal

why do you ask?
