This movie was filmed and produced in Austin by a guy named Enrigue Garcia. It premires this weekend during the Austin Film Festival. It stars Joe Hursley, who has been in some recent commercials (Bud Light, VW, AT&T). My brother and his friend run fasthorsestudios.com (http://fasthorsestudios.com) and did a lot of the sound production as well as work on the soundtrack. I found the trailer amusing, but then again I laugh at a lot of stoner humor. They are taking the film to all the major film festivals this year, so there is a chance it will get picked up. Watch the trailer, or don't...just trying to do a little promoting.

Four buddies spend their days playing disc golf, delivering pizza, and tackling the difficult topics in life like how to pick up chicks and 80’s television. When two of the friends get mixed up in a roadside brawl with some street thugs, the whole crew seeks revenge. Can the boys stay out of jail, will Eli keep the love he has found, and who ate that last piece of pizza? With the blessing of the national Disc Golf Association and a soundtrack featuring various Austin bands, including Riddlin’ Kids, Weekend Junkies is a comic slice of Austin-slackerdom.
