Anyone has a heatsink to sit on a socket 462 to sit on my dad's amd proc. The one that it came with is some real shit... i put some new lubricant on the bottom of it and when i turn it on about 10mins later it shuts off.

1. I hope you have a fan.
2. I hope you used thermal paste and not lubricant.
3. Fry's has Heat sinks and Fans for $20.

the only fan on my computer is the one on the processor :o
i eneded up getting a regular fan and pointing it at my computer to keep it cool, and it works great

i used to run an amd processor with just a heatsink, and the only other cooling device in the case was the power supply fan. thing ran like a fucking CHAMP, too. good advertisement for AMD :D

I have a Linksys 802.11b/g that I'll sell ya for $20. I moved and my computer is next to the router now so I don't need it anymore. I also might have a heatsink/fan somewhere as well. I seem to always have leftover shit from my previous upgrades.
