Nick, do you have equipment to steam out soda stains? (I'm assuming steamcleaning. I dunno if you're supposed to steam/shampoo/etc). I've got a soda stain in the carpet of one of my SUV's and I'm in the process of reconditioning this car.

Do you mind if I ask for some input from you? I'm considering getting a set of HRE 895R. Are your wheels the 595R? What are the specs on your HRE's wheel/combo??? Are the fronts 18x9 and rear 18x11?? What tire size are you running?

I've already been in contact with Nate Martinez and Matt Goldstein at HRE and I'm really impressed with their customer service. (they better for how much they charge for their wheels!! LOL)

What are you thoughts on HRE wheels? Are they worth the extra cost over other less expensive wheels?

I've found a few other companies that make a wheel very similar to the 895R and can piece together a wheel with the front/backspacing I'll need. Beyond just paying for the Brand and the custom factor, is the quality of the wheels superior as to justify the cost???

They are 545Rs... you are right on the spec, 18x9 front 18x11 rear... I bought them used... I wouldn't pay that much for new ones for a Mustang... that being said, my dad bought 547Rs brand new, but we got a great deal from John at 21st Century...

I love the wheels... they are very nice but there are other wheels out there I am sure are just as good... I just am picky, and I only like the best, and well if the price and the rep makes them the best, it is worth it to me...

Thing is, is the price worth it to you? If you can't live with paying for them, it doesn't matter how good they look... I started laughing when I put them on my car, and when I put them on my dad's car because it makes the car look so damn pimp... sort of crazy how much wheels change the car, but to me, they make the car... On a truck or something, probably wouldn't do HREs, but on a sport's car, I won't own any other custom wheels but... I am getting a set for my Porsche made in a year or two when it needs tires. (that is if I don't give it to my dad first...)

I hear you on being picky, I'm the same way. I am happy and more then willing to spend on nicer things. For me, I want to confirm the $2-3k price difference is a value I'll appreciate in the HRE over the other wheels I'm looking at. One thing that keeps me from making my mind up is that I'll see that $2-3k as an amount that I can spend in the carb/power adder/etc. The stupid thing is I'll still be spending on the other stuff even if I bought the wheels anway!! :o I'm dumb like that. :D

265/35 front and 315/30 rear... they are the exact same size, so the car sits perfect with them I think... :) I may try a 335 when I get new rears... not sure yet. I have a 335 on a 10.5 now on the car, and it is STUFFED back there. :eek:
