filezilla - although it is difficult (maybe not possible) you serve up shared drives. I use Serv-U.

Are these all free (or have a limited feature free version)? And do they run under Windows?

FileZilla is free... I like Serv-U better but I believe they only have pay versions now?! And yes... winders! :)

IIS 6.0! Free with Windows XP Pro or any Win2k3 server product.

Let the Microsoft hating begin!

Actually, you're right. A few months ago I got my ftp stuff working - then found out about this. I ran IIS on a Win 2003 Server though and did not care for it - but it worked and it IS included.

Take care,

IIS ftp has never been great. I quit using it with IIS3 or 4 when it would not resume sessions.

I'm still old school War FTP 1.65 or for secure stuff scp/sftp to a linux box in a chrooted jail.
