'Transformers 2' officially gets a date

While the heads of Paramount and Dreamworks continue their very public feud with one another, it's refreshing to know that the movies aren't suffering because of it. E! Online is reporting that a Dreamworks rep confirmed a June 26, 2009 tentative theatrical release date for Transformers 2 (http://videoeta.com/movie/97929).

The big Summer blockbuster hit sequel is getting a fast-track green light in the hopes that the movie will be shot before potential strikes next June by the Writers and Actors guilds.

Earlier this Summer, director Michael Bay (http://videoeta.com/person/24) criticized Paramount for their decision to only support the HD DVD high definition format in the wake of a hefty payoff by HD DVD supporters. Those comments seemed to put a potential sequel in jeopardy, but today's news seems to give hope that things have been smoothed over.

It's not going to happen. SD-DVD, and HD-DVD only.

Well, I can tell you the blank discs are 20-30 a pop.

They have an much, much longer warranty now to address those issues. Look up online how to identify which is a 65nm core xbox - they are the new ones that run cooler and don't have as many problems... they also have HDMI.
