Where do you guys learn your way around tollways? I work for a company that does the technical side of the tollways. I've been helping engineering this week and doing image reviews. You motorcycle riders are freaking sneaky. You know all of the tricks to not be seen or detected. Do they hand out a booklet for this when you get your motorcycle license or something? :p

You talkin' about riding on the stripe? Lots of bikers also tuck their plates as well.

Both of those things. Even saw a rider had his woman reach back there with her hand and cover the plate. Then there's the leg tuck over the plate.

I don't live in Dallas anymore, but did while riding from 99-04, never paid a single toll
I am anti-toll. If I'm lied to about the cost and how long the tolls will be up I'm not paying them. If they would be honest from the get go I wouldn't be so opposed to paying them. You want to hose me, fine, I'll hose you back, golden rule and all that jazz :D

My plates are deep in there.
Never once paid a toll, never intend to .
They should be begging everyone to ride motorcycles just to save the traffic and weight on their roads.
Just like the carpoolers get their own lane (which i might add is rarely in use) , bikers should get a free pass on tolls.
Like bikes do any damage to the road....
that and let's see the Dallas north toll road has been around more than my whole life and they still toll that bitch.
It only took them some 20 years to reach 380. They make a killing on that shit. Just like how the whole city of flower mound is fucked now by the latest change for 121 to magically become a toll road. WTF a paid for public road is just changed into a toll road? BS

You do realize that it takes money to operate a highway, don't you?
That's money that isn't coming out of the state's pocket for maintenance.

I have ran a few of them, well only 4 or 5 that I can think of. And I have never gotten a ticket. My plates are not really hidden. And I past the camera at the speed limit. I figure if they was going to charge me they will. I just didn't feel like stoping, taking my gloves off and going through all that just to get out what 75 cents.
Oh I have even ran a few of them in my truck, with my car trailer and car on the back. Never got a ticket for those either. :D

I'm anti-toll as well. We pay $.20 to the state per gallon of gas for roads, pay for vehicle registration to build roads, and pay $.184 per gallon to the US (~60% goes to roads).

When I bought my bike, I already had three toll tags. One on each mustang and my truck. I called to get another toll tag for the bike and was told that you can only have three tags on one account. They wanted a DIFFERENT CC # to open a second account in order to get a toll tag for the bike. So yea, I said fuck that, I dont ride the white strip, but I never get a bill in the mail. Not giving away my secret though.

i just do a bunny hop over the sensor in the ground so the weight of the bike doesnt set it off, but the mongoose doesn't really weigh that much. otherwise i ride the stripe and keep my toll tag in my jacket pocket lol.

Why does keeping your method a secret matter?
It's not like they can make a 'plate uncoverer' or the like. I find it intriguing reading how you beat the system on the damned things because I also think it's a rip.

lol.... A secret huh? Anyone with common sense can look at the picture in your sig and see that the plate on your bike is damn near in front of the rear tire it's tucked so far. :p

My license plate is perfectly viewable from the rear, thank you very much..:p Actually though, it really doesnt matter if they know or not. Basically, my plate is on a springloaded bracket that I reach behind fold up flat when I go through.
They should have just let me put a fourth tag on my account, so fuck em.

It doesn't matter if someone makes a killing or not. Everyone knows that to drive/ride on the tollway, there is a cost involved. Those that pay the tolls are also paying for those who cheat the system. I think of that everytime I put money on my toll tag, so thanks goes to you on the welfare system.
