where could I find a pick and pull type pull for motorcycles. I am looking for an 06+ zx10 shock for my SV. I have tried looking on ebay now for a few weeks and lurking on other Kawi forum websites, but nothing has really turned up. Any ideas?

improve handling performance/greater tunability

Think of it as putting adjustable coil-overs with stiffer springs and shocks with very adjustable dampening properties on a car. They sell CHEAP on ebay too. I rarely sell OEM rear shocks/springs for more than $35. SV guys generally request GSXR stuff from me, complete front ends too. Those go for quite a bit more.

Sum of all parts... I'm just telling you.

I bought a take off swing arm for an 05 R1 from them(among other things).. but it was flawless and I only paid $50. A new one from Yami was 500. The plastics I got from them were brand new and a great deal as well.

Oh, I just checked my email and they have free shipping this month for online orders.

I buy things from them now and then, great customer service. They are one of the few retailers that physically stocks a lot of new parts. Most websites as well as (Large) ebay sellers that sell new mods/parts are drop shippers that are shipping items from wholesalers like Tucker Rocky and Parts Unlimited. They don't physically posses the items they sell and can't get you an accurate real time status on an order. Pretty much every thing SOAP sells they have in stock. They have a pretty decent sized warehouse in Austin. They answer emails fast (few minutes usually) and can tell you accurately when something will arrive.

Things like swingarms piss me off, they don't bring much on ebay, I've never sold them for more than $100 (Ducati excluded) There are too many people that don't understand that swingarms are items that are rarely bid on, the demand is low, there won't be a bidding war. People list them for very little and of course they usually sell for the opening bid. I wish all those people would realize that no one is going to the dealership and buying $400-800 swing arms and that they should list the damn things for AT LEAST $100. Ahh well, it's good for you buyers :o

the gixxer front end swap is a common swap for sv guys. the downside is a lot of the swap stuff isnt straight forward. stock speedo sensor and wheel wont work any longer so you have to swap that stuff too. usually you will get around $700 wrapped up in just the front end. after talking to traxxion dynamics, i decided to keep the stock front end and upgrade it. they have a damper rod kit they have been using in racing apps for years that they claim will do better than a stock inverted swap (gixxer). for only $250 for their kit and $80 for new springs, i figure this is the best deal for me right now. plus i can do all the work myself in a weekend!!

Swapping a front end is fairly quick too, but GSXR speedos read off the output shaft of the transmission, so if the SV reads off the front wheel I can see that being a major PITA.

I am surprised the front end swap is so popular. I always figured new valves, springs, and fluid specifically intended for the SV and specific rider weight would be a better and cheaper upgrade. Swapping those parts is fairly easy too. You will want a tool that fills the shock oil, it's cheap, I'm sure traxxion dynamics sells them too.

I can see the advantages of a less flexible front end with the GSXR unit and better caliper options, but both of those things seem like a fairly easy fix for the SV front end too.
