Ok i never do the whole drag racing thing, i stick to the mountains and twisties out here in Cali.
So i have one of those stupid who thinks who is faster.
My 04 R1, with Yosi pipes, BMC race filter, PC III with race fuel tune and Aftermarket cams.
06 Busa with exhaust and tune
I know all you guys back in Texas just love to drive fast in a straight line(which is boring and shows no real talent in my opinion ;) ), so maybe just give me a heads up, on a 2 gear roll.

Busa... My friend has the same shit on an Oh 5 R1 and I'd pick the busa.... who gives a shit anyway, the R1 will make it up in the turns(depending on rider.)

you are all mistaken the r1 will take the busa. the only way the busa will win is if you go for a long distance.

Cause evidently its "boring and shows no real talent"
Take that shit to the track, its more fun than a 2nd gear roll in "Mexico" any day!

which camshafts in the r1 and where are the centers? Is the rev limit stock on the r1?

Do you need to calculate something before you can give him an answer on which bike will win? LOL I can tell you, its the one with the best rider! ;)

A busa with a pipe and a tune could make 170rwhp, and smoke your R1. Esp from a 2nd gear roll. Race em, and let us know what happens.

2 gear roll, you mean going from 2nd gear? From a 100 punch you will jump out, but he will slowly even up and pass you.
It's weird, we raced an 03 GSXR 1000 and a mildly modded busa over and over. Liter bike takes the hit from slow rolls to just over a 100, busa *slightly* started pulling it up top, but riding the bikes back to back, the busa felt MUCH faster.

that's pretty much where i was going, but given the bigger bike will be more forgiving to make go fast. I was just curious because if the hayabusa rider is a dumbshit and the R1 has somebody who knows what's going on, it might have a chance. The R1 should get somewhere close to 170hp, but nowhere near the bottom like the hayabusa.

This thread is Hilarious....talk about a "no talent race"....2nd gear roll would be the king of that. I'de say take it to the track, since it requires no talent your a definate shoe in. ;)

Friend with the 05 R1 rides with this lunatic who has a stretched/lowered/strapped/piped/drag tired Hayabusa. I think he is pretty confident that the Suzuki can out accelerate his Yamaha in a straight line under any circumstance.

Just a thought here, realizing that I am a newbie and all, but it looks like you just posted to brag about your bike.
Tell Collin Edwards that we only ride in a straight line here in Texas, and why would you bash another riders craft anyways. Whether you respect another riders discipline, i.e. stunting, drag racing, or corner carving, you still have to recognize the skill level required to be good at any or all.
OH, and the pic in your sig has an LX with with some pretty tall rear tires, you drive that thing through the twisties too or do you do no talent straight line pulls with it?

DITTO-I have had many bikes including lowered and full exhaust zx12, 2 gsxr1000's, and a cbr1000rr. I can tell you that i have been beat by 03 gsxr750 one night at the track. Guy was a better rider and weighed about 90 lbs less than me.(240lbs) Both bikes r fast but i have seen fast times from both. Hard to say until the race is won!

Just no talent straight line pulls there Killer, and the tires are only 275-55-15 MT DR by the way, and as for the rest you all kill me me, sorry for the no response i was in the field conducting a real job for the week on Camp Pen. As for the race i do plan on it just was wanting to see if anyone had done it on this board, and as for the track we dont really have any drag strips around, we just ride twisties mainly, but oh thanks guys for once again a good laugh.

Overdosed on the pompous pills, I see. On a straight, its the busa, if you both have similar "talentless" skills.

my moneys on the R1 if you are both equal riders.

the R1 will have the hit but at about 130 the busa should roll by, i ride a modded 03 R1 and can pull a friends 06 zx14 from 60-125 or so, but he blows by and gets out to about 6 or 7 bike lengths
