Can you polish a dirtbike swingarm just like a sportbike? Such as oven cleaner a few times then buff, then polish?

Don't see why not - I've seen a lot of polished-out aluminum frames on Honda CRs, etc.
Don't know about the oven cleaner tho...

I could be wrong, But I think you have to strip it before it will polish..

Sand sand wet sand wet sand wet sand wet sand, buff buff buff buff buff buff buff buff buff. When you are done, I promise, you will say "Im never doing that shit again". Then you will get it muddy when you ride your DIRTbike, and it will be all hazy when you wash it. Repeat process. :)

Mother's Billet Polish and a powerball works good, too. Had my frame on teh YZ looking real shiny. I didn't really work hard on the swing arm, but a friend of mind did on his 250F. it looked pretty good.
