Oh man, where to begin. One of the best about the European theater,
The Longest Day. A ton of stars. Be prepared, 2 minutes under 4 hours.
.
Saw one last week I've not seen in a long time, Pork Chop Hill. I think
Hamburger Hill from the '80s might have been the Remake.
Oh it's about Korea.

Vietnam ;)
Hamburger Hill was going to be my first suggestion also (though its not B&W).
I had a professor who served in Vietnam and he said that Hamburger Hill was probably the best and most accurate Vietnam War movie he had seen.

Oh ok, then it's definitely not the remake of Pork Chop Hill, because that was
Korea.

Sink the bismark and Destination Tokyo are classic.
