I've ever heard! Yes, it's country, but it's really good!!!

Chuck Wicks - Stealing Cinderella

I came to see her daddy for sit down man to man
It wasn't any secret i'd be asking for her hand
I guess that's why he left me waiting in the living room by myself
with at least a dozen pictures of her sitting on a shelf

- Chorus -

She was playing Cinderella
She was riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
In her eyes i'm Prince Charming
But to him i'm just some fella
riding in and stealing Cinderella

I leaned in towards those pictures to get a better look at one
When I heard a voice behind me say "Now, ain't she something, son?"
I said "Yes, she quite a woman"
and he just stared at me
Then I realized that in his eyes she would always be

Playing Cinderella
Riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
In her eyes i'm Prince Charming
But to him i'm just some fella
riding in and stealing Cinderella

He slapped me on the shoulder
Then he called her in the room
When she threw her arms around him
That's when I could see it too

Playing Cinderella
Riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
If he gives me a hard time
I can't blame the fella
I'm the one who's stealing Cinderella

I went to my sister in laws wedding while my wife was eight months pregnant with my girls and I have to tell you I never had a feeling for being a dad until that day. I had never seen my father in law cry but when it came time for the father daughter dance it finally hit me. I would be in that role someday for my girls. They are only five weeks old but I already dread the first time they bring a boy home.

not being the most important man in my girls life is going to be a hard pill to swollow.

I know! I read Marcus the lyrics yesterday and he told me to stop. I pitty the guy that takes his daughter on her first date.

For me, even though I'm having a boy, it still hit me. That one day he will be old enough and not need his mommy anymore. And he's not even here yet and I'm worrying about that time, lol :o

something i learned at the hospital about boys is if you decide to get him circumcised don't do it at the time of delivery. take him to a urologist. allot of doctors don't do them often or are not comfortable doing them. a uro will be much easier on him.

I learned all kind of neat stuff in the nicu.

His pediatrician is doing it at the hospital right after he is born. Using the "bell" method I think....He said he does a lot, so I have faith in him.....
