I actually like the new home jersey . . . but I would like it better as an away jersey. It's simple and kind of old school (like early 1900's old school).
The away jersey is the same as the old early 90's home jersey. Too could be better.
But as long as there's no Mooterus.

yeah, the home sweater looks like it should be an away and visa versa.

That old school style is fucking sweet. Props to Dallas for getting a great looking jersey. Still waiting on the Oilers...

Ya know, I thought the new home jersey completely sucked when I first saw it, but it has already grown on me. I've officially flip flopped my opinion on it. It is a little boring, but it has a certain old school appeal to it.
here's a cool website that goes over all the previous Pens jerseys throughout the years
http://www.pittsburghhockey.net/PensPages/PensJerseyHistory/PensERA/67-68RJersey.html
I'd like to see them go back to the blue but I doubt that will ever happen

It wasn't always like that though, I like the blue ones :p
is Pittsburgh the only city gay enough to have all their teams with the same colors?

By the way, it's now official: Dallas has just overtaken Boston as having the best uniforms in the NHL.

I am more of a fan of the throw back jerseys. I think it would have looked better if they had a white version of the black for away. Alittle FYI the Dallas U18 team has been wearing a green home and white away jersey just like that for about 6 years.

Rangers are blue and red, Clownboys are blue and silver, and Stars are green and gold though

The home jersey I kinda like, the away one not so much. I still find both of them on the boring side.
As for the Oilers jerseys; solid blue for home (white away), same logo, orange stripes at the elbows and orange collar with two orange stripes running vertically at the front seems. Away blue collar blue front stripes at seems.

That has about all of them.
Appears as if the Stars and Caps were the ones with major changes. I like the new Caps jersey too.

Did the Sens' logo change as well? The Senator is kinda facing at an angle instead of a direct side view.

Yeah the Sens jersey took their logo from their 3rd Jersey I beleive.

It is changed some. They basically used the 3rd jersey logo but changed the angels a bit and coloring.

After seeing better complete pics. I'm a little more partial to the black home get up. The white away I think is terrible lame.

Not digging them. I think the Stars had the best looking jerseys in the NHL. Sucks they have to change it up every few years to increase revenue.

You're kidding me, right?
Call me old school, but Boston, Toronto, Montreal, and NYR have the best unis in my book... aside from the NEW stars home Jersey.
One thing I've always been curious about is what the fuck that thing was on the old Nordiques' jerseys?

Their primary logo was a lowercase n with a hockey stick and puck propped up against it. The little arrow things have been french symbols for years, but I dont know what they are or mean.

Nope. It may not be "old school" (but why should it be since the Stars have been here since '94), but it looked good. The Stars are a newer market team in a non-hockey market, why trick it up even more by going to a retro look? There was nothing wrong with the old jerseys.

They moved from Minnesota, basically keeping the same team name. I see your reasoning, but sports isn't about who's got the flashiest attire, regardless of what some of these newer teams (in all sports) are doing.

The French symbol is a Fleur de lis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fleur-de-lis). You can't escape them in Montreal, they are even tattooed on family pets.

I knew about these back in the early part of the year. I had a job interview with the Stars for a position in their merchandising department and they told me about them coming out later on in the year and them having a more "Euro" look to them.
I personally like the older uni's, but I can see these growing on me.

Everyone has known about new "uni's" for about a year. As far as a Euro look, I am not sure where you are going with that as the dark one is almost exactly like Michigan State's.

Well whoever described them is an idiot. This is what a Euro jersey looks like. Nothing like it as NHL teams will not have 25 sponsors on them.

They never stated they'd look exactly like one, but simply had a "Euro feel." I'd agree they are two different things overall.

I am just saying there really is nothing Euro about it. It wouldn't surprise me in the least though if someone in the Stars marketing department had no clue what they were talking about. They are a slimmer fit but it is the same thing that all Olympic teams have been wearing for the past 3 Olympics, and Team USA and Canada have been wearing in international competition for about 6 years.

I would agree that they definately seemed a bit "confused" when I talked to them about some things in regards to their merchandising/marketing departments, LOL. Needless to say I passed and I'm definately better off for it.
