17-17 less than 5mins to go.

airforce scored the tying td with a 70yd option pitch on 4th and 1

oops. tcu intercepted in the endzone with under a minute to go.

i dunno... seems like just milking it away from the 25 and going for a game ending fg would have been the safe route.

so who ended up winning? I was tring to find the game but my channels at work are different from what T.v guide shows

good thing UT was soooo proud of beating TCU. Looks like that win was pretty much worthless for them.

Having to play a spread option team like Texas and with the talent they have and then having to turn around and play a triple option team on only a 5 day turnaround would stretch most teams. Combine that with TCU's lack of offensive firepower and you get what happened here.

TCU has a good defense, but doesn't have the offensive muscle to match it.

Texas' win over TCU isn't worthless at all. Beating a quality ranked opponent always looks good and it isn't like TCU has just fallen off the face of the earth either when it comes to rankings.

The ELO-CHESS ranking used by the BCS has them as being the #34 team in the nation currently:
