I agree, but A&M played their collective asses off. On top of that, the rivalry always plays a factor in that game every year. They finally just wore Tech down in that game, and forced some mistakes. Harrell will not be so easy this year, with the extra experience under his belt. I'm afraid Texas was better last year than this year, but we'll see...

no, the problem with that Tech game is that Tech never had a defense. In that game, it wasn't if Texas could come back and win, it was when would Texas come back and win. Tech's offense is always good, but it has to be to outscore their opponent because their D is average at best.

No, I'll just say that I think Texas is the better team and if they play the way they know they can, TCU goes down big time.

Their defense is good, but they have had some falloff even before the season started. They've already lost a starting DT for the season and Tommy Blake can't decide if he even wants to play anymore, he's sick with some "mystery" illness, or whatever the excuse is this week.

Their offense had trouble scoring points on Baylor and didn't really put them away until Baylor turned the ball over deep inside their own territory 2x.

TCU has not ranked #1 in total defense at season's end in any of the past few years. They were #5 last season, #12 in 2005, and were near the bottom of the list in 2004 @ #105. Considering the team's they have faced in that span, those high #'s can be discounted somewhat.

If anyone thinks that Texas will play as sloppy as they did last Saturday, they are kidding themselves. They've heard all week about how they "almost" lost and all that BS. That game woke them up and showed them that they aren't going to be able to just coast once they get up on someone early. They have to keep pouring it on until the game is completely over.

I say Texas wins this game in convincing fashion 31-17. TCU fans and Texas haters alike will deny it as being a quality win because "Texas should have won." :rolleyes:

Colt got picked off on two tip drill passes in Texas territory and that is where TCU's points are right now. Their offense hasn't really done alot so far.

Penalties again are killing Texas' scoring chances. How in the fuck you call TWO Offensive PI calls in a row is beyond me. 3 total for the night on those.

If you ignore the special team fuck ups, TCU's offense killed them plain and simple... They just couldn't get it done, and the defense was worn out. You can't keep going 3 and out without the D getting a little rest and expect the pressure to stay up.

I thought their offense had a little to be desired last week, but obviously there is more to it than first week funk :(

TCU got beat, face it guys no excuse's. TCU is a good team dont get me down. matter of fact they need to come to The Big 12 and we get rid of hmmmmmmmm maybe Baylor, or send Iowa State to the Big 10. Pressure, but no sacks. His 1 INT was a numbskull throw, but the other was a bounce that was somewhat unlucky.

TCU wasn't that great offensively (10 of their points came from the defenses' efforts), and once Texas started rolling, you could see the sphincters tightening up. McCoy is going to have to come out of the gate a little quicker...

Both teams started out slow and the only reason TCU had ANY points in the 1st half were because of turnovers, one of which was by total random chance because of a high tip.

K-State may not have been ranked, but they gave other ranked teams aside from Texas trouble last season. Kansas St. made it to a bowl game last year while Fresno St. floundered to a 4 win season.
