“Politicians are afraid to talk about almost anything that has the word ‘gun’ connected to it,” said Mr. Helmke, formerly the Republican mayor of Fort Wayne, Ind. “We’re not trying to ban all guns. We’re trying to say it’s too easy for dangerous people to get guns.”
"Texas is a pretty big gun state,” said Francis Cook, a Texas-based spokesman for Rainbow/PUSH. “I’m a hunter. I know a lot of hunters. Nobody hunts with an assault rifle.”
My favorite quote's. This really shows their hidden agenda. They want to try to act pro gun rights, but at the same time they want to convince everyone that anything semi-auto is a "Assault rifle". If anyone in the DFW area has some free time today, You need to go out and represent the Pro gun citizens.

Yup going to be investing in a few AR lowers, ammo and other items in case something happens next November. Anyone know where to get the tubes the military uses when they bury supplies? Hell I even have my wife wanting to get her CHL and pick her out a pistol.
Cheaper than Dirt sells those crazy storage tubes, and Mossberg sells pistol grip versions of the 500 in them marked, "Just in Case."

they will have to pry them out of my cold dead arms for they will ever get any of my guns.
calling a gun a assalt rifle is such bull shit and the ones trying to ban any gun should be banned from congress period.
Whatever's shot tends to be more concerned about the bullet than the mechanism it came from.
I bought 550 rounds yesterday in protest of their protest. :D

I've hunted with a mini 14 and an SKS. Hell, my SKS has a 30 rd. mag and a bayonet on it. Drops critters just fine.

Not a gay thing, just a pro-black thing. They are trying to take guns from a group of people that rank them up there with fighting dogs as prized possessions.

Buy 8 inch pvc well casing, and cement caps on it after filling it full of what ever you want.... you'll need a sawz-all to open it in a hundred years. :D Buy dessicant available from several outlets, (I get mine from Grainger) get a brown paper bag (lunch sack) and put 6 ounces or so in it, and staple it shut. put one on each end before you seal it in. And I love shooting cans and varmits with my AR... what about my Remington 742, in .308, is that an assault weapon?
