i just sold my glock 27 today to a good friend of mine to get out of a bind. i have fallen on a little bit of money troubles so the gun had to go. once i rebound i can always buy another, but this was my first (and only so far). at least i know its in good hands and he will take care of it. just a sad day, that is all!
stay tuned, next thing to go will be my bike and then the mustang... lets hope it doesnt get that bad!

Been there done that, my wife and I both worked at the same company years ago and got laid off the same day with a 1 month old baby. Here is what I sold during that rough time.
mini-14
Ar-15 (old style receiver that could be made to slam fire)
Model 94 30-30 Winchester (Saddle model)
Remington 870
I now have a pact with family and a few people that if any one of us ever get into a bind we will "hock" a fire arm to each other but will return in when paid back.

im sure if i went back to him in a few months and was like "hey man, wanna let me buy back my gun?" he would do it. he would probably give me a hard time about it but i could prolly get it back. if not its ok too. its not like i can't just buy another one lol. only downside is that i bought it from a buddy as he was in the process of leaving academy so i got the employee discount. he has since quit there so it would be full price next time.

we actually did that with a good friend of the family, he 'sold' a little .25 pistol and a little .22 rifle that broke down and stuffed into the stock of the gun. once he got back on his feet we sold it back to him...

Your in luck, it's hunting season so the sales are on.
Academy has Remy 870 Express for 205$. Check their website for their weekly ad.
Most of those, except Winchester, will be easy to replace.
My family passes guns around like we pass gas.
My dad is still pissed about a S&W 9mm my brother sold when he was broke. I was like, it was a POS model. But he is expected to replace it with something else.
Glocks are a dime a dozen.

Glad to hear you got it back Kyle. At least you didn't do the mistake I did and pawn your gun :( I've done that in the past and sometimes either forgot or didn't have the cash to pay and lost it :(

That's awesome, I'm glad to hear you got it back. It's crazy how much can change in a week.
