Still dragging your ass on getting a CHL?

In case you didn't know... effective Sept 1 2007, honorably discharged veterans will only have to pay $70 to the state instead of $140 for a CHL due to a new bill. Fees for the CHL class are not affected.

So if you are current military or got out less than 365 days ago your fees are waived but if you were discharged 366+ days ago you're only worth half as much? Better than nothing I suppose but for those who served their country for over 20 years and qualified every year as expert (my dad), it is lame. I'm just sayin'.

Better than nothing... I paid full price and I'm an honorably discharged USAF veteran.

But I hear your point. As a Veteran, I get higher priority at a VA hospital than a retiree. I always thought that was backwards.

That's pretty cool to hear but I think the time period for full discount should be extended.

You select Special Pricing when you apply for a new license or renewal then include your DD-214 in the package you mail in.
