Has anyone ever been pulled over with an Ar-15 or any other assault weapon??? I was just wondering what the outcome was. Were you seriously harrassed or no problem.

an AR-15 is NOT an assault weapon......FYI.

They are not illegal (and not assault weapons).

What exactly would be the problem? Legally, it's no different than being pulled over with any rifle in the car.

It's just a semi-automatic rifle (and perfectly legal to have in your car). The only way you'd have problems is if you're being an ass.

ok so no one has had any problems with there AR-15 Deer Rifle. I guess if there is ever an Assault Weapons ban "MY AR-15" wont be included because its a Deer rifle.

Definition Of Assault Weapon

The term "assault weapon" in the context of civilian rifles has been attributed to gun-control activist Josh Sugarmann. The term assault weapon refers to semi-automatic firearms (that is, firearms that, when fired, automatically eject the spent casing and load the next round into the chamber, ready to fire again) that were developed from earlier fully-automatic weapons. By former U.S. law, and the law remaining in some states still, the legal term assault weapon includes certain specific semi-automatic firearm models by name (e.g., Colt AR-15,H&K G36E, TEC-9, all AK-47s, and Uzis) and other semi-automatic firearms because they possess a minimum

That is the twisted "anti" definition.

The true definition of assault rifle is:

"An assault rifle is a selective fire rifle or carbine firing ammunition with muzzle energies intermediate between those typical of pistol and battle rifle ammunition."

Your AR-15 is not select fire. By true definition, it is not an assault rifle.

But, make no mistake either way the antis do not want you to have it.

. The AR-15 was developed as a lighter, 5.56mm caliber version of the AR-10. (The "AR" in AR-15 comes from the Armalite name and does not stand for 'assault rifle' as is commonly believed.)

I've been pulled over and hand my ARs in plain view in the backseat. Officer asked if they were mine and what I was planningon doing. Told him I was on the way home from the shooting range. He was paranoid as fuck. But let me go.

I guess if I pulled over a 22 year old kind who probably had more firepower in his backseat than their whole department, Id be paranoid to. :D

And call whatever you want to call your gun. I do. I assault shit all the time with my Mausers etc. PLus it really pisses off the super hardcore gun nerds. :D

Fuck'em

And the antis love it. Divide and Conquer.

Mausers were so called "assualt rifles" in WWI. Just like muskets were in the
revolutionary war.
