I was born and raised in Odessa too. I just went back and it's exactly how i remember it, well besides the 100 new restaurant chains.

It's sad when Grahams is the hot spot. If you like Country then head out west of town to Dos Amigos. They usually have great live bands and it BYOB

I hate the Odessa area all together. I turned down Jobs in Odessa cause i hate the atmosphere. But I have heard there are some nice cars there.

Join the club. I only go back to Odessa to visit which is VERY infrequent. It's not a horrible place, it's just not somewhere I want to live ever again. I do miss the weather though. Dry heat and cool nights.
