View Full Version : Need test tone to tune subs

so im tuning my amp and i need a test tone. The manual reconmends a sine wave @ 50Hz. if someone could possibly load one on the internet or point me in the right direction to find one (preferably for free...) it would be much appreciated.

so i just answered my own quetion and found a very helpful site.

site has all the frequencies @ both 0db and -3db. also has some great overall sound check tracks. ALL FOR FREE!!!

On my pc, I can barely hear the 14khz and nothing over that without turning the volume up louder.. :eek:

lol you might not wanna play anything below 30hz or it will fuk up your speakers :(

The best tone to test subs with is the Brown Note....

If you crap you're pants than the system is in tune...

thanks alot hope this helps someone else outpretty cool site, i was just about to post up asking what people use to test thier systems. sound quality mainly though.

I use 50 hz for my subs, 1khz for my mids, and 12khz for my tweets. Not sure if that's optimum or not, but my junk sounds alright.

thats exactly what i've read... need to find a goot deal on some comps so i can use 1khz and 12khz thought :D
