After a 40 minute trek through traffic on 121 and 820 today, I finally arrived at CTD Outdoor Adventures in Forth Worth.

First off, know that CTD and cheaperthandirt.com are 2 entirely different companies, but cheaperthandirt.com has a counter within the store connected to their warehouse (HUGE building) and will service the stores customers. All you do is walk up to the guy, tell him what your looking for and he will run to the back and grab it! Pretty nifty deal. The CTD storefront is great too. Awesome variety of firearms, including reasonably priced AR15's, pistols, M14s, AK47, FN PS90s, and much more. I guess CTD specializes in ARs because there are 2 aisles practically dedicated to accessories. Great variety of mags for sale too, and the quality of their store brand AR mags are better than that of my factory Rock River ones, few bucks cheaper too. Didn't really get a look at ammo prices (im set on ammo for a while) but they did have a good variety. Other stuff in stock includes scopes, holosights, ballistics vests/helmets, led sleds, flashlights, knives and more. What impressed me the most however was the service. They had all the registers open and there were only a couple people in the store.

Took all of my will power not to break the bank buying stuff (an EoTech 512 is now on my wish list!), but there were a few things I purchased.

Got a store brand 30rd AR mag- $14
A nice discreet tactical AR bag w/ 3 detachable mag pouches and misc storage compartments- $40 (hell of a deal compared to online)

And from the cheaperthandirt.com booth I bought a steel surplus ammo box (empty) for like $5

Overall it was a great shopping experience. Definitely worth checking out if your in the area, or want to pick up something you see on cheaperthandirt.com rather than wait for shipping.

Just be an informed consumer when you walk in there. Most guns are on the high side of the price range.

That said, I could spend my entire paycheck there......

Their store brand mags are D&H mags.
Most people sell D&H or C Products and just put their company name on the floorplate.
