Ammo ?

Was at Walmart - behind glass they had some remington ammo - 223 - one box said FMJ - ok I know what that is ... another box said MC - what is that?

By the way the FMJ was more than the MC ??????

Please let me know if any difference in FMJ versus MC ... at $3 a box ...

keep in mind ALOT of ranges wont allow FMJ. Found that out the hard way after i bought 1250 rounds of 7.62x39 for my ak :(

the box only says "MC" and is next to same stuff that says FMJ .... an FMJ is $9.++ versus $6.47 for MC ........????

Could they be talking about brass versus steel? Would Remington stoop so low?

It means metal case, the metal making up the jacket is different than normal FMJ. It has a slightly truncated or flast spot bullet, but can also be round nose depending on the bullet. Some auto pistols are really finicky when it comes to shooting it. As for the price difference I dont know.

Similar to Golden Sabres but without the hollowpoint. Good for punching through shit. On the other hand, in 223, I think it is a mediocre choice at best.
