I figure I'll use the money from selling the performance parts towards a down payment and hopefully find something with a nice factory rebate.

My buddy gave me his Posi out of his wrecked truck & I got some old wore out 16 ET streets on some Stock Silverado rims.

I bet I hit some mid 14s once I get all parts put on. But right now I have the mods with Mandy Mustang going on & getting in my heads for THE RAT in next Friday & the TFS 215 heads are not cheap. I could have bought a decent coupe for what they costed with rockers :eek:

I have been saving up for the TFS 215 Heads & I ordered them this week. They need a week to get them ready & milled & should have the heads not next week. But the week after. Then all I have to get is the Harlen Sharp Rockers & I will have all my parts for THE RAT.

I toned THE RAT down alot this time. I went with 3inch True Duals & 3inch Elec cutouts for when I want to hear the car Dumped & then I can close teh cutouts & I bought a Borla Catback with Adjustable plates to quiet it down out the back so it won't be so damn loud. :)

Don't worry THE RAT & Crow will have there day in the sun. :D

By the time you get your trail Blazer my truck should be able to hang with you if yourr TBSS is stock.

I wish I could get one. :( BUt my truck is almost paid for & I don't want another car payment :D If I can get 14.5 in the 1/4 out of my truck N/A I will be happy. I figure with a small 75 shot I could break in to the 13s. BUt this is my daily. I just enjoy have a daily driver that is fast & can still pull a trailer with THE RAT out back. ;)

Every lane is open on Friday nights so you are doing the right thing to go to the outside lanes. If someone tells you different go to the tower or come to the starting line and ask for Moose. He'll see that the problem gets taken care of.

I once got in one of the far right lanes that only had about 4 cars in it. I watched cars and cars go by. I would have been better off going in the lane that was out to the pits. So i went up and asked the skinny guy if this lane was special... he kinda snapped back and was like no.. and i was like well is there a reason its not moving. Waited 15 more min and he finally let us go. It was pathetic.

Other then the long ass wait its still my favorite track.

yeah and every car with open headers or a rail acted like they were big daddy don garlits about to attempt some sort of record breaking pass. Why the fuck they let them all make bye runs with a regular tree, I have no idea. They should have paired them all up once an hour or 45 minutes, had them all in two lanes ready to roll, switched to a pro-tree, and got that shit done. It really wasn't that bad though....

First off let me say that I'm not Texas Motorplex management but I have worked there for over 15 years on the track crew. Most of y'all know me from Tech but I have worked every position at one time or another.

I have seen a few posts on forums bringing up this issue lately. I would like to say that everyones points have been noted and I ensure you they will be addressed. Sometimes things get out of hand in the staging lanes when you have a lot of cars (believe me I know from experience). Still that is no excuse. We will try our best to keep it organized and enjoyable for everyone. Our goal is for everyone to have a safe fun time.

I would like to remind everyone that Fast Fridays were designed for anybody that wants to test and tune (Top Fuel all the way down to Mom's MiniVan). That means that there will be a lot of race cars there on those nights (especially those Fast Friday's before a big money race). We understand that everyone there racing paid the same amount to go down the track that night. We try to make it as fair as possible for all of the racers.

Our Utilmate Street Night is decated to Street Cars. It was designed for those who wanted to race other street cars and not race cars. We usually have a good turn out on those nights. A lot of racers don't want to line up next to a 180 mph dragster (and I personally don't blame them). These nights start later and run extra long into the night. I will also add that the new Event Coordinator "Moose" is all about growing this kind of racing at the Texas Motorplex. Next time your out there look him up and say Hi. let him know about ideas or comments you might have. He has an open door policy.

Thanks Man, only problem seemed that nobody managed the lanes period. If it's busy so be it but people were just making up there own rules and it's no fun sitting out there in the heat while a bunch of dumb ass's run around us and cut in not once but all night long.

When we walked up to the guy in charge to complain he just shrugged his shoulders like what can I do about it...plenty if it was me.

Rest assured, changes will be made and attitudes will be adjusted. Please feel free to come up to the starting line to shoot the shit, complain or just watch some cars make some passes. We might put you to work if you stay too long though. :D Moose is my old man so I can also pass along info. as well.

That's sounds like a good idea. I think we have more street tire cars than any other track does so it might hurt them on the number of passes they end up making. I personally like to run behind the big tire cars or the dragsters. That way I get to run on on some fresh rubber.

Maybe keep it simple.. lane 1 goes, then lane 2, then lane 3... so on then back to lane 1... if you have someone you want to race tell the guy that when he calls on you or line up right beside them.. if not just go when its your turn.
