I got a Netlink wireless router from a friend. Hooked it up and it worked great. I downloaded some stuff to my PS3 and it worked well. I went and got back on my computer and the connection was extremely slow. It kept getting sloer and slower. I unhooked it and went back to the dsl router and eveything was back to normal. I reinstalled the wireless router and the same thing happend. Fine for a while then started getting slower.
Any ideas?

Silly question, but is it password protected?

Your neighbors might be taking advantage of your signal, if it's the strongest one they have access to.

Also, I've noticed that my speeds slow significantly during peak hours, if it's any consolation, and my chit is p-word protected.

Yeah its an encrypted network. But I dint think any neighbors could get the signal cause our house's are pretty far apart.

Check the firmware in the routers control panel. Make sure it's updated. Have you performed a hard reset on the router before you used it?
