can you tell me what chipset the memory is?

I have a Compaq computer thats rather pretty old and im wanting to upgrade the memory stick on this... Yes i know its easier to update and easier to build the computers. Been there done that. This is for family and this is all they are wanting to do, Its for their children. So help me out if you can


I come up with a part number thats says : Compaq 240108-001 on the memory stick.
And then a bar code with the numbers and letters QV98140BQNP on the stick.
If you could help me out, Please do!

Edit. - I know its a 512k cache board But i do not know what to buy to update.

I know the computer is a AMD processor computer but do not know which chip set.

For some reason when i pull it up to look. Very how do you say.... Small computer everything is close to touching inside so i have to take everything out to look at the biggest thing in the computer, or to just see a portion of it. Thanks!

go to crucial.com and put in the model # of the computer and it should tell you the type and speed and max capacity supported.

Crucial has a scan engine that does a quick scan and displays compatible RAM. Easy as "add to basket"
