Laptop password help

i changed the password and when the pc restarted it wouldnt except the new one or old one..any one??

for bios or windows?

if bios reset the cmos

if windows, download hirons bootcd and reset the administrator password.

windows is easy to reset with the right cd.

google ultimate boot cd

read the documentation so you know what to do

download

burn iso to disk

boot off it

follow directions in documentation

change password

reboot

i am trying to get the laptop to read the cd rom first in the bios but now i cant get the bios to even come up,what key for sure is it F2 this is a compaq with windows 2000
