I will be there to get my rear handed to me in extreme. :D To bad I don't have a couple more weekends to get some testing in besides next weekend. Gonna get the trans fixed this week and get back out there though.

truestreet5.8, me and you in the 2nd round of Q! :eek:Thats cool but it will be an easy victory for you since I am only in the .70's right now. ;) I hope to be in the .50's by race night but we still have a lot to get done to make the car go straight. The front end needs a major alignment job right now to make it safe. I don't care what it runs though I am racing at the next race damit! Hell I thought we would make the June races!

Andrew, I wanted a limited street glide from Neal but I picked Archies up for $1,500 and it has all the good stuff in it. 10 clutch pack, Vasco, straight cut planetary, roller tail shaft..ect...ect...When you upgrade to a Bruno/Lenco let me know what you want for yours!

He isn't running 2 stages on it, just 2 big arse solenoids. One big arse nitrous solenoid and one big arse fuel solenoid. The Speedtech plate can be use as a 2 stage plate or a one stage plate using both entrance points. It works too. I seen one of their time slips and it was FAST!

The motor has not been taken out of the car as of yet, I don't think he's going to do that till Friday or so. There isn't really any way of telling as of yet - but hopefully it's just a set of bearings and that's it. We are pulling it all the way down to check it out.

It will need more then bearings man. Better get it machined correctly first if its indeed a thrust bearing issue. Have the crank inspected and polished as well. :(

On Josh's old motor that is all it needed, the crank and everything was in perfect shape.

There was no machine work done to the crank or the block in the first place, so there is no need to machine it now. (the line hone and crank were both inspected though)

The thrust bearing issue (in this case) had NOTHING to do with the assembly of the motor - the converter didn't have enough room to float and bottomed in the pump, causing it to take up the thrust clearance and shearing the oil film.

Hope you get it back up soon.Joe Torrez built it up at Hauns. Like Brooks said it was just a clearance issue with the converter. I swear it had a 1/16th an inch but I guess with turbo cars 3/16's is the way to go. Seems we go through this shit on every new combo we have! :(
