I like my Glock but there are other good brands out there. Glocks are hard to beat for durability and dependability. All I can say is go to a big store and see what guns feel the best then see what people have to say about them on the net.

I've had one for about 10 years and it's been sitting in a cabinet unused ever since I bought my Sig. Mine even has a 15 round magazine! I'm assuming by the price you are talking about their Sigma series.

How in the fuck is someone gonna make a gun and not allow you to insert a magazine without champbering a round?

And it's not a clip, it's a magazine.

".40S&W" is a type of bullet. Many different guns shoot the .40S&W round.

what ever I dont know why it wont but it stops about 1/4 inch away from all the way in and when you chamber one it will pull it up into the gun  This is my first hand gun so I am still learning alot about them

the reason it wont stay in the frame is too many rounds are in the mag, i have been trying to get my 1911 45 mags to hold more rounds and if i go 1 to many in one of them the mag wont go into the frame far enough to stay in.

on another note

i have a hk usp fullsize in 40s&w and its fun to shoot with. ammo is decent price. i had a smith sw99(same as a walther p99) in 40 and it was a nice gun too, i just wanted something fullsize.

Bingo

From Wikipedia,
Look up clip in
Wiktionary, the free dictionary. The term clip may refer to:

a clip of ammunition where rounds are held together with a single piece of metal (commonly confused with a magazine).

Magazine (firearms)
A magazine (also called a mag or, commonly but incorrectly, especially when removable, a clip) is an ammunition storage and feeding device within or attached to a firearm. Magazines may be integral to the firearm (fixed) or removable (detachable).

LOLz at this thread.

.40 S&W is a good round. There's a reason it's the cartridge of choice for the FBI - because those pussies have (had?) little girlie hands and can't (couldn't?) handle the modest recoil of the 10mm Automatic. ;)

It seems to have more muzzle energy and keep a flatter trajectory than .45 ACP, while operating off a smaller, 9mm-sized platform.

Ouch!

Walmart has CCI Blazer Brass .40S&W for $7.57 a box of 50. That comes out to $37.85 for 250.

reloadable brass? or aluminum? Berdan or boxer primers?

20cents a round is pretty cheap. But 15cents is even better if you want/can to re-use the brass.

My .41MAG is 40$ for 50 rounds. Only place I can find it is at Bass Pro Shops. They had 3 boxes.

I don't buy too much at Bass Pro, they are way expensive, but it is fun to see all the stuff they have.

I've been using my buddies Sig 229 in .40 S&W. Its a pretty good gun. Fun to shoot, easy on the wrist. Along with Glocks, its a wonderful concealed carry gun too. Never jammed either.

Welcome to the addiction.

PS. Refer to your gun by it's make and model, not by what it is chambered for. It's confusing and people on gun forums will eat you alive.

Well my wife has a glock 40 caliber and its a great little gun. I personally prefer the 45 caliber round for myself, however the 40 caliber round is a very good performer. I hope you enjoy owning and shooting your new firearm.

Ive never heard of that shit. you sure you are just not pushing hard anuf on the bottom of the magazine? some guns take a little force. load it up and push on that sucker.just dont shoot your eye out ;)

This is not a very good gun of choice if you are looking for accuracy. When you shoot it you will see what im talking about. It has somewhere near a 14 lb trigger pull :(

the 40 s&w round is a very good round though. I think you will enjoy that factor. If i were you I would sell this gun though and get a glock 22, 23, or 27 or you should look into the Smith and Wesson M&P 40. It is a great gun as well.

CCI blazer is boxer primed. Almost all brass is boxer primed now. Berdan is freakin' OLD school. Pretty much the only stuff I can find in aluminum is Wolf, and I won't shoot wolf.

Pretty much the only stuff I can find in aluminum is Wolf, and I won't shoot wolf.CCI Blazer Brass is Boxer primed; Blazer is still aluminum and Berdan primed. Wolf is steel-cased; not sure on the primer, as I've got enough .45 ACP and .40 S&W brass to take care of 5 generations of zombies.

Interesting side-note: the Boxer primer, which is used primarily in the US, was developed by a British guy, and the Berdan primer, which is used more in the rest of the world, was developed by an American. The Berdan primer is only 7 months older, too.

its a good looking gun, no doubt. I thought I liked it too until I shot it. By far the most inaccurate pistol I have ever shot. If you shoot a nice gun, you will be amazed at the difference.

I have heard that its no target practice or range gun but as a self defense gun it gets the job done and at a very good price

Heh, for $20 more you could've gotten a new Witness in 9mm, .38 Super, .40 S&W, 10mm Auto, or .45 ACP, and they're extremely accurate.

Live and learn, though.
