Pretty upset with XtremeRaceCars.com

As a few of you may know, I went to bleed the brakes last Thursday on my my Aerospace brake calipers, and one caliper was leaking, so I missed the KOTH race Friday. To avoid a 2 week delay in racing having to ship the brakes back to Aerospace I decided to order a new set of Strange brakes. I did a bit of research and found XtremeRaceCars.com to have the best price so I ordered from them on Friday. The gentleman I talked to there said he wanted to call Strange and find out about build time and he would call me back.

Later Friday afternoon, he called back and told me that Strange would have the brakes put together monday and sent out that day, which would get me the brakes Wednesday. Because of the brake hat on the Strange brakes being thinner than the Aerospace, I expedited a set of wheelspacers from Jegs to use with the brakes, making sure they would be there before Wednesday.

XtremeRaceCars.com took my email information when I placed the order saying that I would receive an email with tracking information when they shipped. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday came with no email, so I called them Wednesday afternoon asking for a tracking number. I was told that the brakes hadn't been finished and they had not been sent out. I expressed a bit of displeasure at this as I was busy Thursday night and wouldn't have time to put the brakes on to race on Friday night... I was told that as soon as they had shipped they would call and notify me and give me a tracking number.

Yesterday I took the Aerospace caliper that was leaking apart and found that an oring was torn. I called Aerospace up this morning and overnighted a set of orings so that I can have them to go racing Friday. Immediately after, since I hadn't heard from XtremeRaceCars.com I called them up to cancel my order since I would no longer need the other set of brakes.

XtremeRaceCars.com informed me that I could not cancel the order because it was a 'special order' item. I expressed a bit of disbelief at that seeing as how they had a part number for the brakes and it wasn't like I was ordering custom axles or anything... they went on to further inform me that the brakes had shipped yesterday afternoon. I asked why they hadn't let me know of the brakes shipping and what I was going to do with a set of brakes that I didn't need. I was informed that sorry, they were a special order item. I them asked him what the tracking number was and was informed that they didn't have it.... apparently Strange was 'supposed' to fax it over and didn't.

So now I've got a set of wheelspacers I can't use and a set of brakes coming that I've paid for and don't need because they didn't arrive when promised.

What can I do? What should I do?

How did you pay for them ?
1.Personal Bank card or check put a stop payment at your bank . It will cost you 25 - 40 bucks .
2. cc card cancel it or file fraud charge to that specific vender ..

So I called Strange who are drop shipping me the brakes... they show the order put in 8/1, not 7/27 as promised. They say the order has not finished being boxed up and has certainly not been sent out yet, nor is it a special order item. Unfortunately they say that XtremeRaceCars.com has to cancel the order, I cannot do so.

dispute the charge on your credit card and let them deal with extreme. i have heard about a lot of crap like this from them from different racers. and the wheel spacers you can return to jegs no problem. but as far as them being special order that is a crock of shit they just say that because they had to actually call strange and order them even though it is a standard p/n from strange they have nothing in stock ever even though they advertise too. extreme is not a good company to deal with at all... not that this information helps you now but i would duspute it on your card and it will get taken care of.

i would call extreme and tell them they need to cancel that shit and that you have already disputed it on your credit card. and that you have talked to strange and you know for a fact that they did not order them when promised and or that they have lied the whole time...

hopefully you get your $ back. i had a similar problem and i agree with TINKRD because the CC company does take your side.

Welcome to the world of consignment sales where faggots will say anything to get you to order something and then not cancel it when it doesn't show up. Next time order from someone that has the shit in stock, it will cost more but that's because they actually keep it in inventory and don't try to drop ship it from the manufacturer.
