Summer's Last Blast in Vernon,Tx

This is the most awesome hot rod rally in Texas. You will not be disappointed. Hundreds of top notch cars and thousands of people flock to Vernon every summer. Google the title and see some pics. Aug. 10 , 11, 12th. We will be convoying starting Friday Aug. 10 at noon from Dallas. This is a 3 hour trip. Super party, and super cars with no rules on the main drag. A freaking top fuel dragster could cruise the drag with total cooperation from the local police. They even sponsor a burnout contest! Contact me if you want to roll with us out there. :D

Ill be there as well. My uncle and about 3 others are gonna roll together. This will be my first year, but my uncle has been there the past 4 years. He said its the best gtg around.

It is the best gtg in Texas in my opinion. My uncle owns a mechanic shop in the middle of the main drag. This property will be sectioned off for friends and family only. Any mustang can join us if you like. The shop is called Vernon auto care..can't miss it. I would love to have as many mustangs as we can hang out with us. Don't forget your lawn chair!

This guy is being honest it is one of the best gtg's around and bad ass cars everywhere. Best part about it is there will be racing in Wichita Falls at http://www.wichitaracewaypark.com/ I don't know about this year but the racing usually starts about 10p.m. and goes till about 2 to 4 a.m. It will be impossible to get a room in Vernon, TX though. Your best chance is Wichita Falls, but it will be hard to get a room also. I have heard that might go on also. About 6 years ago the cops would watch us drag on the street in a controlled manner. Everybody watched from the start line though.

Everybody will be watching from both sides of the street. The drag is 1 mile long and is packed with people on the sides all the way down.

Only the main cruise through town is age restricted for a few hours. It is also very close to Mexico ;) so they is definitely some heavy street racing .

This event is very kid friendly and I will be bringing my 10 and 7 yr old boys. Kids will definately have a blast also if they like cars.

78 and under from their info. But only for the 7-10 Saturday cruise. Friday and the shows are open.

That wreck had nothing to do with the cruise. There were 2 punk kids racing on the outskirts of town and one guy lost control. We smart people will be taking it to the track.

So who all is coming out today? The open cruise tonight is awesome. For the single guys plenty of girls hanging out of cars everywhere and for the married guys plenty of eye candy. Damn I miss the single days sometimes, I used to get hooked up everytime I went. :D All the cars tonight are pretty sweet to. I almost like it better than the classic cruise because you get to see new cars and classic cars all at once. Post up if you are headed out tonight.
