im just gonna copy and paste my story from my myspace bulletin
ok guys..im home...im alive..and lacy is home too...were both just banged up pretty good...lacy got the deep rash cause she did most of the sliding..i did more tumbling and spranged the shit out of my right foot..im on crutches and bandaged up..lacys back got some rash too..but were both alive and thats some good news..it could have been worse
we were all riding back from bike night and we were headed home for the night...coming down 635 going east coming up on the skillman/audulia exit and we were all in one lane i think......and there was a little red car in front of us going slow so i went to move over to the left in the fast lane to pass and tbone and them went to the right.....and as soon as i got around the car there was a construction cone sitting in the middle of that lane...i couldnt miss it cause it was right there..so it hit the right side of the cone while i was still leaning to the left and the bike just fell on its side.....we fell of and she slide on her back and used her arms to get her back off the concrete..so she got bad rash on her arms..pretty deep..and i got my arms and started barrel rolling..i tried to get up twice and both times i was still rolling to fast and i got up and fell right back down and did some more tumbling..thats about all i can remember that happend...it happend so fast but seemed like we slide forever
tbone got the bike out of the way and as soon as i got up i ran straight to lacy to get her and she wasnt looking good...the paramedics came and put her on the stretcher and we both rode to medical city in dallas...got there and they checked us out..gave me some x rays on my foot and i checked out ok other than the rash and they let me go...but she complained about some stomach pains so the pushed around and thought her kidneys might be hurt so the did some CT scans and stuff and they all came out ok...so all in all we got pretty lucky for what happend to only walk away with rash..it hurts..alot...but were gonna be ok
thanx to everyone for calling and checking up on us...i appreciate it..yall guys are awesome....and thanx tbone for grabbing her bike...even though it almost took you out too lol

Wear some damng gear. You should know better than wearing a t-shirt and she should to. Im glad you guys are ok, though the rash looks bad. I have some nasty rash scares on my legs and back from falling only at 30mph without gear. I immediately learned my lesson.

I know how that feels... I wonder if these dudes have ever been down that are just wearing shorts/t-shirts. It feels good at the time, but hurts like a mother fucker if you hit the pavement. I just try to imagine hitting the pavement going that fast and it usually makes me put on pants and a jacket.. I have torn through a mesh jacket though and rashed my elbow.
Glad yall are ok.

On a streetbike?
you can get on 635 at any given time and you're likely to see someone riding a bike with no helmet. (crotch rockets and cruisers) all someone has to do is change lanes quickly or something like that, and they're dead. i'd imagine that the chances of surving a 60-70mph crash without a helmet are pretty slim.

Perforated leathers are the way to go. Not bad at all while your moving. If I'm in traffic I'll unzip it a bit and open up the shield on my helmet to help cool off. I own two leather jackets (one for hot and cold weather) as well as a mesh jacket for riding around my part of town. You can never go wrong by investing in riding gear.

he dropped it going about 30ish and got some road rash on his knee, me him and his 2 year old son went to the er and he had to scrub his knee himself. well he gets done and his 2 year walked up to him and jabbed 2 fingers straight into the rash. he yelled from the pain and his son almost started crying. lol, it took him awhile to explain what happened
