Me and red already put in our request for tickets! :D

Yeah, he said request. You can't just buy them. You request up to 4 choices, give them your credit card information, and they run it if/when you are approved for one of your choices. Weird shit.

Nope. And I'd say screw it except that I want to f'in go! Indy is closer than CA and it will be the first year so that will make it that much better... if we get "approved" for tickets. LMAO

Yeah, well, if they are going to pick and choose who they want to go, fuck them. They won't make it doing that. They've already lost my business by being picky. If its not the crowd that they choose, then you can't go? F that!

I understand what you're saying... and I agree to a certain extent, but I still want to go. :o I don't know why they're selling tickets this way...

More from the website...

All tickets for this event are three-day tickets, with both reserved and general admission seating available.

Anyone wanting reserved seats must request at least four choices of their preferred seating area with their order. All orders will be fulfilled at a later date.

Fans of all ages wishing to have a reserved seat must purchase a ticket. Children age 5 and under will be admitted free when they accompany an adult who purchases a three-day general admission ticket.

MotoGP fans are encouraged to order early, as tickets for past inaugural events at IMS have sold quickly.

Seriously, it's not like they're going to do backgrounds on everyone dude. They are more than likely going to pick a seating area and start grabbing requests until that area is filled.

With all the minorities in the back...

:D

You are all overthinking the ticket thing. Just send in your info.

And it's only for reserved seating... general admission isn't like that. So, worst case scenario we still get to go via general admission. But, being that we requested reserved seating on the first day tickets went on sale I'm hoping we'll get them. :)

I'd have a hard time sending "new" event organizers my credit card information to sit on and secure for a few months before they get around to actually using it.. but that's just me.

That sounds fun as shit btw...

Course looks interesting. Wonder how much of an elevation change (if any) the track has. Sure curves are nice but hills always make the race more interesting :)

Hmm... 900 miles one way. Quite a bit further than Barber but still closer than Laguna.

Just the 2 of us right now... and we'll probably fly since we have plenty of time to save for flights and you don't get much time to ride around when you're there to watch the races... traffic, etc. We'll play it by ear... so much time left to plan which is nice.

i'm guessing its dead flat except for getting on/off the banking, much like the infield section of tws. hills really do make it more fun, i guess thats why i like ohr so much, i just wish i could quit crashing there. :o

www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com has a link for ticket info. I never could find where to buy general admission but you can call their ticket office for more info. I don't think they are on sale yet...
