Last number I heard was 27 cars signed up. Travis, Scott, Chris & crew got 18 dyno'd. Best can be determined, the dyno interface box quit talkin' to the computer as they were setting up mine. Travis has the dyno software on his laptop, and elected to bring it out after only a few minutes of trouble-shooting. The box wouldn't talk to the laptop either. Fuses checked good & another serial cable was tried on both computers. We futzed with WindozeXP settings, restarted computers, restarted the dyno box multiple times. No joy. Looks like the box will have to go back to the mfr on Tuesday. :mad:

They kept vehicles movin' on & off the dyno. More than enough good pizza, big ice chest full of cold soft drinks, enjoyed hangin' out, meeting some folks, seeing & hearing some nice cars. Everybody at Gearheads should be commended for a well-organized event. An unfortunate hardware failure ended things early, but that was beyond anyone's control. I'm lookin' forward to the next one.

Driving home, I got lit up by a DPS trooper for no rear LP lights. They're on, but the plate is pushed out to clear the electrical cutoff, so the tiny bulbs don't illuminate it. Only got a warning - there are some advantages to age. Then a Mitsubishi sedan complete with wing, fart can, & four high schoolers stopped alongside me at a light & wanted to run. I told 'em no thanks and that their vehicle was built by the same folks that sent us the A6M Zero. Blank looks.

All in all, a fun evening.

I've never been to a 'Vette or LSx meet, and honestly I have no real desire to. I'd rather go somewhere that I can see a few decent 'Stangs, Evos, Vettes, etc in one place than three dozen LS1 F-bodies or a bunch of middle-aged men in Vettes.

Both at just under 96*F with 15% humidity.

The only thing done to the car is a K&N panel filter. Nothing worth mentioning at all (but I've seen 2-3mpg more since I dropped it in).

Not as much as the vetts, but last time I dynoed the car with the stock bottom 3.8L and 100 shot the hp was 275 and torque was 345.
I now have a forged 4.2 stroker, but I haven't sprayed the new motor since I'm still braking it in.
