The problem here is you are simply talking about one rider, who cares if he didn't start it, do a wheelie or anything. He decided to pull a gun, no excuse for that. You see there were many riders involved in that incident. If I was riding down the road being blocked I'd get a little close to the bike in front of me to get him out of my way. I have no time to be late to grad school, a date or anything for that matter because people who think they own the road want to stunt or block traffic. When I see stunters I alwys pray they wreck, that way when I stop to render assistance I can tell them how dumb that was and make sure the police write the correct ticket. Hell, I've been down Hwy 75 in Dallas and seen a bunch of cars blocking the road like that. Should you just start ramming the cars just because they are pissing me off? When you talk about sharing the road, that goes 2 ways. You're right that there is no excuse for vandalizing someone's property. The difference in the comparison that you are making is that you are surrounded by sheet metal and a biker is not. It is extremely dangerous for us when a car comes in our lane. You come in our lane forcing us over into another lane which is dangerous. That means that we then are in a situation where the car in the other lane might hit us or that person thinks the motorcyclist is doing something stupid then he tries running you off the road.

I think that when you are in driver's ed you should also have to learn to ride a motorcycle. Then you will not only understand how the rules of the road apply to a motor vehicle, but also a motorcycle. Too many people don't understand the risks involved in riding so don't think twice about putting our life in danger. Unfortunately there are too many cyclist now that don't understand how to ride safe either. The test for a motorcycle license needs to be much harder then it is now.

Then use your blinker the standard 2-3 seconds before you initiate your lane change, and i'll change my game-plan accordingly.

If you move into another lane without warning, then i suppose you're at fault.

I do agree you have to ride like people don't see you, but when riding aggressively at speeds higher/or slower than the rest of the highway...when people don't see you because you are smaller and less visible you can't go all road rage ape shit and start busting mirrors off and doing shit like that.

when I see a bike coming up on me I move over to the edge of the lane if I can or move over and extra lane to give them room, but if they are doing 140 or something and I don't see them not really much I can do now can I?

I have no reason to hate the average rider and give him as much respect as he gives me but I understand all the riders points of views but the simple fact is the bikers choose a different place to do that shit and there is no issue.

Taking your car and slamming it into a bike on the highway can be just as deadly as pulling a gun out and shooting at a car. You say that he should of been a better driver and got more of em, hell I wish the biker would of been a better shot and took his ass out for good. The bikes shouldn't have been blocking traffic, no excuse for that. But I have jackasses in cars driving side by side at 50mph on the highway in front of me all the time, bike and car, and i don't start raming em or shooting at them (which shooting at a car would pretty much equal ramming a bike).

...and finally, since when does doing stunts piss off everyone on the road? If you are in people's way stunting, then yes they will get pissed, just like when a granny gets in thier way. There is also a few assholes that get pissed just because they are whiney bitches, and feel so bad about themselves that they are automatically mad at the world. But 90% of the time I bring a wheelie down or somethin, I have people giving me thumbs up, cheering, giving me the rock-on sign and shit like that. Hell half the time I look over at a car I've got people tryin to get me to do a wheelie. For every jackass that gets pissed at us stunting, there are two people that love to see it. actually he more then just swerved, he knocked one guy over the median and dropped another. Thats when the guy started shooting at him. At least thats what I've read on dfwsportbike from witnesses. I still dont agree with what happened though between cager and rider's

I have been riding since the late 80's, hell on three different continents and for the life of me I can't figure out who the dumbass is that came up with the term "cager". I feel like I am listening to the T-Birds talking to each other in the movie Grease. I mean really you all need to grow up, I have a street bike, dirt bike and a couple four wheelers. I will never sound so ridiculous as to refer to someone as a cager. I would guess a 16 yr old came up with the term and other cycle riders picked up the dumbest piece of slang ever. :rolleyes:
