Sold the R1 a few months back and have been riding my roommate's bike while he was off at Marine MOS in Pensacola. He's due back at the beginning of August, so it was time to get another ride.

oh, and I know I didnt block out my plates. I dont care, they arent registered to me, my plates are waiting for me at the dealership :p

yes i did, and im glad i did too. there is no place at all i would ever use all of the power an r1 has on the street. hell, i can barely use all the r6 has to offer on the roads. i ride the shit out of the r6 and its a blast. i cant wait to hit a few trackdays with it

X2. I wouldn't own a liter bike for twisty roads. I would be just as fast on a 600 than on a liter bike. (unless theres miles of straights)

Thanks. I didnt pick it actually, it came with the bike. Its quieter than I expected really. I think my roommate's M4 slipon is louder. Either way, I like the polished mid-pipe more than the stock that the M4 has. If I had it my way, it would have been either M4, Graves, Akra, or Devil.

Nice bike! When you were looking for your 6 did you happen to see very many black one's? What was the average price?

They are louder in the higher rpms which they're really made to be.

I actually wasnt looking for a 6. I was just looking for anything that was cheap, 600 and FI.

I ran across this at a dealership. Black in this body is hard to find cheap since they only made it as the R6 for one year (05). After that it was the R6S and they havent really come down in price yet. They did have an 03 R6 Spec. Ed. that was black w/ red flames (Jose has one i believe).

Anyway, the R6 keeps it's value extraordinarily well. Average for 03's was mid 5000's. 04's was high 5000's, to mid 6000's.

You should have bought the 06 R6 I had, I think I only got 6K for it. I can't remember somewhere around there. Only had 2800 miles on it. Some reason it was alittle harder to sell than I was thinking. I thought it would sell pretty fast. Plus I thought it would go for alittle more money, being low miles, and even had a powercommander on it.

For some reason the R6S's dont seem to sell as well as the regular R6's do, even though its the same bike and newer. I guess if pepople are gonna drop the coin to buy a 2006-2007 R6, they want the top of the heap shit

Nice bike. What did you wind up paying for it if you don't mind me asking? Glad you didn't get the same Special Edition bike like mine :D Nice to see someone sees the value of the smaller 600's over a liter bike. I would never be able to take advantage of a big bike myself. I don't ride two up and the power and top speed of the 600 is perfectly fine with me :D

main reason I'm on a liter is the ease of 2-uping, and a little neck snapping zing is fun from time to time :)

Ya, 2 up I would definitely have to go with a liter bike (especially with my fat ass  ).

Scott, youre full of shit. Youre not that big, and adding Beth definitely doesnt warrant a 1000 :p youre just looking for excuses. Im just under 200 and the woman weighs right over 100 so the 6 handles it just fine. I dont need to be racing around 2-up anyway

Awe come on, you know there's not much need for shifting on the big ones riding 2 up :) And trust me, its best-behavior w/ the bether on board :)

I'm 210ish, and with a 110-115lb rider my R6 sure does get light on the front end. Like you said though, there's no reason to be hauling ass with a passenger.

yea, if the R6 gets light on the front, a 1000cc isnt gonna be any better, probably worse really.

Looks nice man. There are virtually NO twisty roads down here. Lot's o bike crews, though. I might just grab a big bike just to have crazy acceleration. We'll see.

Since I'm gonna road race the Mustang, I'll hang onto my current 00 R6 (in-case I wanna drag a knee at a track day) and scoop up a liter (or bigger) bike to cruise on.
