The mustang is suppose to be on the good guy side not the dark deceptacon side.

WTF, how did the camaro get the buble bee spot. It would have been better if it was a new beetle. The camaro was awful bad though.

Other than the fact the mustang was on the wrong side the movie was perfect. Teh girl was teh hawtness.

it is true, but I heard Ford was approached for using their vehicles and said no thanks. Supposedly Bumblebee was going to be a Mustang. Even so I thought the "To punish and enslave" on the side of the cop car was appropriate. ;)

I remember reading somewhere that the Camaro had underpinnings of a GTO, and the rest were just body panels.

And the Mustang was a worked over S281 w/ the weaksauce 4.6...

How could a Mustang have kept up w/ a Camaro anyways? :p

Thats true, the Camaro was just a stunt car built off a GTO chassis. They had an article on it in Edmunds.

I didnt' hear that about Ford but I did hear that about VW.

The producers wanted BumbleBee to be a New Beetle but VW said no because they didn't want their product associated with a war machine.

In other words, VW is a company full of pussies

I don't know about the new movie. I am not sure if I want to see it. I remember seeing the original transformers movie back in the day.

Adolf Hitler was indeed the driving force behind the car. In the 1930s, cars cost more than most people earned in a year. When Hitler became the chancellor of Germany in 1933, he promoted the idea of a car affordable enough for the average working person. The Volkswagen, which means "people's car" in German, was essentially a political promise to win the public's goodwill.

Hitler met with automotive designer Ferdinand Porsche in 1933 and charged Porsche with creating the new car. The chancellor required that the Volkswagen carry two adults and three children, go up to 60 miles per hour, get at least 33 miles per gallon, and cost only 1,000 reichsmarks. Hitler may also have named the car the Beetle

that the first thing i thought of when i read the "we dont want to be related to war machines" thing lol. they they came to be thanks to one of the most evil men in history cant get away from it might as wel let them make the movie accurate

really wish i could see the movie but watching it on idleair at a truck stop on my 13" tv just doesnt seem apealing :(

The movie over all was fucking awesome but there were little things in it that were not accurate .

Bumble Bee was not a bug
Megatron was not a big gun (never really made sense to be a gun in the 1st place)
Starscream actually had some balls (unlike the cartoon)
The girl in the movie was talking about BB's engine and said he had a double pumper on it but when they showed a shot of the engine , it had a custom fuel injection setup on it .
It made no sense that the Allspark was fucking huge and then BB's touches it and its the size of a small box and light as a feather .
When they went to the kids house and the transformers were on the lawn talking , the parents never heard them ? Prime leaned up against the house but the roof didn't fall in ???

Oh well , it still fucking rocked and my kids LOVED IT !!! I'd even go back to see it a 2nd time ..........

It's hard to hold them to the "Megatron wasn't a gun" stuff. There have been like half a dozen incarnations where the same characters are different things entirely. That said, the weird evil-pointy black blob look for him isn't workin' for me at all.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm hoping it's good.

It's well worth a day off work :). I'm going to see it for my 4th time today!!! Taking the GF... I just hope I don't get aroused when Megan Fox does her shit. My GF wouldn't like that to much. :(

They also got the uniforms and the planes mixed up too.

A USAF Master Sergeant wears 6 stripes, but in the movie it's 5. And let us not forget about the 747 that somehow changes into a 707.

i thought in the movie it said something about why the allspark was that big, i thought it was encased so that it wouldnt be harmed by atmosphere or when it gets knocked by an asteroid?

I was skimming thru ebay and came across the actual 1977 Camaro "bumble bee" up for auction for charity its up to $30K with 76 bidders so far....
