Been quite a few hours on the suspension, so I sent it off to factory connection for a re-up, and I got it back recently. Boy do they replace alot of parts. Bump stops, all seals, i did a rear spring change, fluids, nitrogen, they do it all. So, while I had her down I reshimmed all the valves, put new tires, new chain and sprockets, new plastics, new clutch all to go with my freshened suspension. So now Im sitting on a brand new bike :) Who wants to go to the track???? Next weekend its on like donkey kong in hong kong with a big schlong!

Dont you work on bikes and have a shop? I would figure that you would do all of that work yourself.

Factory Connection is one of the best suspension tuners in the country. You can't do that kind of work yourself unless you've got years of suspension tuning for top riders under your belt.

The fork leg anodizing looks real good. That Scotts set up is something I haven't seen before. I'm used to seeing them on the bars. Looks similar to the way the WER stabilizer mounts, but more high tech. I'm getting ready to mount my GPR on mine, just need the mount and post.

Yeah, I do have a shop, which is why I did all the work on the bike. I could probably have serviced the suspension myself, but I would have had to buy all the seals for the works parts from factory connection, get all the drivers for that specific fork, and Im a Factory Connection dealer so I only have to pay like 20 bucks labor for the entire job. I just stick them in the box they came from and a week later, brand new forks and shock. Its an easy choice :) To build this exact bike, you would need about 15-18K, depending on the fork and shock you use. You could get away with 10K if you went with stock FC modded forks and shock. This is with a motor that puts out 60rwhp and the pipe of your choice.

Dav, I told you contact me when your in Tx and we are riding! Im down to ride anytime, and I would ride way more often if I had a partner!

Buick, the scotts was one of the best decisions I made. It makes the bike go over rough shit and chop like it wasnt there. I blitz the whoops I made over here at my mx track. Arm pump, I hardly ever get it with the dampner. Only thing I dont like is the size. Id pay a grand for one of those ones that goes behind the number plate like RC used to use in the honda days, or Windham or Millsaps has on their bike today. This one sticks out, and everytime you get a new number plate you gotta saw it up. But the performance, is worth the headache.

60hp? Only way that is happening is if Ron Hamp has been in your motor. :)

Of course he was. But ive seen his changes to the cyl head, its easy to port a head and do a good valve job. 13.5 to 1 piston and your there. Ill still use his 187 grind on the cam. Its so nice, it takes away the chug a lug of the big 450 and makes it much more 250F ish, its just blasting everywhere you go when your on the gas no matter what rpm or gear.

An inside mic and a stock and modded head sittin next to each other and its pretty easy to see where the material has gone. But then again, Ive never tried to use that method where you take grape coolaid and throw the powder in the port and take out metal until you dont see purple. I heard thats the way to go :)

you are the motorcycle expert of this forum that told me Pro Stock bikes don't use a slider clutch  ..................lol at what you know.

I'd love to see one of your port jobs, better yet.........i'd love to flow it, given you can keep your grinder marks out of the 45, lol.

I have done all the porting on Nicks Busa heads, and his 1000 head. If you want to flow one, I would be happy to let you do the next Busa head and let me know what ya think. They have always picked up good power...I would love to see the flow..

Don't waste your time??? Fuck off man, you post on DFWStangs for god sake...get off you rocking pony for a sec.

I guess you are scared to flow one of my heads. They consistantly gain 10-15rwhp on a stock motor bike with no cams, so if you can stop mopping up around there long enough to talk to the head porter, let me know if they want to flow it :)

Im gonna put the race tranny in my nitrous busa, so I can have the one on the bike flowed. Its the one that still has guides on the intake, made 197rwhp on motor with 1397, stock cams, U4 fuel.

Your ignorance keeps oozing from every part of your body. 15 hp with your magic cylinder head and no other changes? Yep thats right Chris, you just like your boss Nick should move to Japan, because the Japanese couldnt' figure out how to build a port design to make the extra 15 hp that you two gods can make with stock cams and stock rev limiters.

I still didn't get any numbers from you guys about degreeing camshafts, how many customer engines per year you do, or better yet..........Net sales for engine rebuilding alone done each year

This could go on forever and just remember it's becuase hot rod nick said i didn't know anything about bike engines, afterall, it's what i did for a living for 9 years retard.

and marsh, your reputation precedes you by the long trail of broken car parts.........

Whatever Nick has said to you in the past has obviously gotten too ya. You can't deny that my porting works, or that Nick knows what he is doing with a Busa...its already been provin over and over. Why don't ya step up, and flow a head I have done and give some constructive criticism. Show us what you are about...because all I ever hear is "how many cams you degreed, how many engines you sold". We have documented a back to back increase from ~158rwhp -> 174rwhp with my ported head on Nicks 1000...maybe with alittle grape insight, it can be 175 or 176 rwhp :) For real..I'll put my work out there for you to help me with, just show me and don't talk big..
