My rear tire on my R6 is getting very low, and I need to get a new one soon. This is my first time to buy a new tire for a bike. Are there any brands that ya'll reccomend, or any brands to stay away from? Just want some advice before I run out and blow a bunch of money on something that I shouldn't of bought.

Somewhere between 3500 - 4000 miles.

I just put on a new set of the 2CT's and I love them. I bought online front and back for around $250 shipped. I recommend the same tires front and back as well. Don't buy just a rear tire and not change out the front unless you go with the same you had on there. Front will last typically twice as long as the rear tire.

Will having a different brand on the back mess with the handeling? I figured it wouldn't make a difference. Like when I had Nitto 555R's on the back of my cobra, with BF Goodrich KDW G-Force T/As on the front.

yeah yeah, the good looks come natural to Kawasaki's, :D
I've heard a lot of good things about the Pilot Powers but if the front isn't as worn as the rear when it comes time, I'm going to go with another rear battlax.

I would argue with you, but my next bike is going to be a ZX-10R. Them things are sexay! Maybe an RC-51, but 10R's have always been my favorite.

Yes it will. Cars don't use the side of their tires when cornering. Bikes do and will handle differently with mismatched tires.

Where is the info on the recall. I just bought mine a few months ago. I have had no problems, but would like to know that mine are ok. I don't do much track riding but it is nice knowing there is more grip in the corners from the tires. They are also not any more expensive than the regular pilot powers.

http://back-3-10.webmichelin.com/uk/front/act_affich.jsp?news_id=20122&lang=EN&codeRubrique=43

Includes Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power in the 120/70 size. Only tires made in France for a certain time frame. So not just the 2CT tires.

Same boat here. I have a recalled front tire as well. The places I call say at least three weeks. Both 2CT and the regular Pilot Power fronts were recalled.
