Just like the 'Tank' thread, the Cowboys have been rumored to be snooping around this whole LJ/Chiefs holdout deal.
Obviously this would have to be a trade here as he's still got one year left on his contract. Honestly, I think it would take either Julius Jones and Dallas' 1st round pick through Cleveland or Marion Barber and Dallas' 1st round pick to pull this off.
I'd say that would be a hell of a deal if the Cowboys could pull that off because they have not had a great power back since Emmitt was in his prime years and that has hurt their offense to a significant degree.
Johnson is a proven commodity by posting two straight 1,700+ yard seasons in a much tougher AFC and is very fresh considering the fact he hasn't even touched the ball 900 times (892 to be exact) in 3 seasons worth of play.
It would be a pretty steep price to get him and obviously he wants LT type money, but I think that would be the least of the hurdles with the way Jerry Jones spends money.
I say do it because I really don't see anyone in this upcoming draft that the Cowboys could draft, RB wise, and Julius Jones really has not panned out to be what the Cowboys thought he could have been.
Thoughts?
