Ok, I heard several people talking about the Cowboys maybe taking a chance on this guy and picking him up after the Bears cut him the other day.

Pros: Guy has legit talent and Jason Ferguson isn't getting any younger (33 years old - 11 seasons of play). The Cowboys could sign him to a pro-rated, incentive laden contract with the knowledge that if he screws up just once, he's done and gets nothing in return.

Cons: Major character issues and has not played in a 3-4 NFL defensive scheme. He's also suspended for the first 8 games of the season so that makes him pretty useless for the 1st half of the year.

My conclusion: The pros don't outweigh the cons here. Too much baggage for the 'Boys to take on at this point despite Jerry Jones having a history of taking guys in that had some character issues and turning them around.

Thoughts?

If Jerry Jones will sign Owens, he'll sign anyone... They'll sign him by the end of next week...

Didn't the cowboys sign the dude from the Bears that had a mental melt down a few years ago? I cant remember the guys name...
