Won't happen. Donnie Nelson was on 103.3 earlier this morning stating the Mavericks are going to stand pat when it comes to major trades.
The most likely places for Garnett to go right now are either L.A. or Phoenix. As of right now, the L.A. deal seems to be dead while the Phoenix deal is hanging on Marion and him signing a long-term deal.
It will be interesting to see what happens here, but it definately will change the landscape in the West either way.

Why did he opt out then? He wants more money like every other player and Detroit has already proven they won't overpay for players when they didn't re-sign Ben Wallace. I'd say his chances of re-signing with Detroit are 50/50.
If Dallas is truely serious about improving their PG position, Mark Cuban will gladly open up his wallet this time around because he won't be burned twice by not paying for quality talent Steve Nash

Pistons will pay trust me...What did Ben do for the Pistons besides grab rebounds. Billups runs their team & is a scoring point guard. Devin Harris will run point its sink or swim time for him next season.

Discuss this one. Phoenix with KG, Nash, and Marion would be kinda scary. Phoenix would actually have some semblance of defense.
Timberwolves talking three-way Garnett deal
NEW YORK – Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett is close to going to the Phoenix Suns in a monumental three-way trade that would send Phoenix forward Amare Stoudemire to the Atlanta Hawks, league sources said Wednesday.
Atlanta would move the Nos. 3 and 11 picks in Thursday's draft, as well as Zaza Pachulia and Anthony Johnson, to Minnesota.

I think bringing in KG might have a negative impact on Dirk's game/image. KG will take it to the hole, he will take the clutch shot, he will give/take hard fouls, and he wants to win every night. He's exactly what we need....
Dirk to be.

Marion, KG, Bell....SUNS woundn't have any trouble on Def. they should be able ut to guard any NBA team.

It would be better if the SUNS could keep Amare...Nash, Amare,KG would be killer on OFF/DEF..But Boston doesn't won't Marion

everybody is going crazy over KG, yes he's good and all, but he doesnt take clutch shots. he's not the type that can carry a team thur the playoffs(he's only been out of the 1st round once) and most the time when the wolves play the mavs, he gets outplayed by dirk. KG is better as a teams 2nd star, that why im hopeing the lakers get him.

Yeah, the Suns would be better. Some might even say dangerous. But it still won't change the fact that run and gun style isn't going to win championships. Maybe we will see.
I'd love to see Garnett come here. I just don't see it happening.

Cuban should just spend the money to have Byron Davis' legs broken.

WHAT THE FUCK! DIRK OUT PLAYS KG...you need to look at the box scores for this past season. KG needs help just like Kobe

Thank you. I think after the Mavs 1st round exit everyone saw that Dirk has no heart.

I heard this on 103.3 today as well. For who the Mavs would want at that spot, it isn't going to happen. Dallas wants Mike Conley because he's more of a Avery Johnson-type player than Devin Harris is. However, Conley is likely going to the Grizzlies at #4 so trading with Milwaukee for the #6 pick would be pretty futile.

Wallace also blocked shots like a madman. He may not have been a scoring threat, but he was a defensive monster. I understand that the Pistons are going to try and make it worth Billups' time to stay, but you have to think that he is at least somewhat interested in what other teams would have to offer. I really think that the Mavericks would be making a big mistake by completely turning the PG reigns over to Harris without him having developed a good jump-shot.
